Holidays in Tarn, Midi-Pyrenees, France

It is a fabulous place to visit if you want to experience the authentic charm of South France. I visited by this summer and stayed for the duration of the warmer months. It is a beautiful place with lot of rustic charm and the impressive landscape - perfect for a holiday of relaxation and exploration.
Located north of Carcassonne and the East of the city of Toulouse, the two areas influence is evident in the distinctive architecture; difference the contrast of colorful red brick Toulouse with the pure white, brother stone buildings.
Here is very peaceful and charming rural villages that are great for exploring. Tarn North is made up of picturesque and interesting, peoples including the really charming medieval town Cordes, which is a popular destination for tourists. Cordes is an excellent example of one of the many cities of the fifth in the region, so if you want to explore the head of similar villages for Rabastens, Lisle-sur-Tarn, Puycelci, Labastide-L?vis and Castelnau of France, which is considered by many to be the "most beautiful '." All of them are situated in the North of the Tarn.
If you're more East of Tarn sure visit Ambialet and his Priory at the top of the Hill, or if you end up in the Northwest would recommend Penne by their beautiful views down the Aveyron gorges and the remains of a ruined castle.
For some fabulous vineyards experience, enter paradise Gaillac red brick toward the center of the tarns and taste some of the best wines in the world in my opinion, particularly red dark, full-bodied.
Lautrec is essential for art and critical food - lovers beware pink garlic and an abundance of Saffron, as well as lots of history of art and culture.
People here are passionate food, wine and its heritage, which is a delight to watch. Tourists are welcomed but not revered as well wait for incorporated into the daily bustle rather than be waited on hand and food. In saying this, the service on the rustic French restaurants enchanting was impeccable and always tip-worthy. Highlights for me were the pumpkin pancakes, stewed wild boar and ° C for white cheese but I would recommend also highly Croquant biscuits and any of the local pork dishes which are by far the tasty that I tested.
